Payments of portion of fine to informants - (1) The convicting magistrate may direct any portion, not exceeding one half, of any fine which is imposed under section 3, section 4 or section 9 and of the moneys or the proceeds of articles seized and ordered to be forfeited under section 8 or section 12 to be paid to such informants as may have assisted in the detection of the offenders.",
