3. (1) There shall be constituted in and for the State of Assam a
University by the name of the Assam Agricultural University, which
shall consist of a Chancellor, a Vice-Chancellor, a Board of
Management and an Academic Council and other authorities and
officers as set forth in this Act or as may be provided by the Statutes.
