8. The State Government may remove any non-official member of the Board who has become subject to any of the disqualification specified in section 6 or who is, in its opinion, is unfit to act, as a member or remiss in the discharge of his duties.
Provided that before removing a member, the reasons for the proposed action to be taken shall be conveyed to him/her and his/her reply invited within a specified period and duly considered :
Provided further that any vacancy of the non-official member shall be filled in as early as practicable.
