Every sitting member of the Legislative Assembly of Madras representing a constituency which on the appointed day by virtue of the provisions of section 12 stands transferred, whether with or without alteration of boundaries, to the State of Andhra or to the State of Mysore shall, as from the appointed day, cease to be a member of the Legislative Assembly of Madras and shall be deemed to have been elected to the Legislative Assembly of Andhra or, as the case may be, of Mysore by that constituency as so transferred.
