            "title": "2. Amendment of Schedule I-A to Central Act 2 of 1899.",

            "content": "(i) in entry 1, under the column captioned as \"Proper Stamp Duty\" for the words, \"Five rupees\", the words \"Fifty rupees\" shall be substituted;\n(ii) in entry 4, under the column captioned as \"Proper Stamp Duty\", for the words, \"Five rupees\", the words \"Fifty rupees\" shall be, substituted;\n(iii) for entry 5, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-\nDescription\n\t\t\t\t\tof Instrument\nDescription\n\t\t\t\t\tof Instrument\nProper\n\t\t\t\t\tStamp-duty\nProper\n\t\t\t\t\tStamp-duty\n(a)\nif relating\n\t\t\t\t\tto the sale of a bill of exchange;\nTwenty five\n\t\t\t\t\trupees\n(b)\nif relating\n\t\t\t\t\tto the sale of a Government Security or share in incorporated\n\t\t\t\t\tcompany or other body corporate;\nFive rupees\n\t\t\t\t\tfor every ten thousand or part thereof the value of the security\n\t\t\t\t\tr share.\n(c)\nif relating\n\t\t\t\t\tto the sale of immovable property;\nThree\n\t\t\t\t\thundred rupees.\n(d)\nif not\n\t\t\t\t\totherwise provided for;\nFifteen\n\t\t\t\t\trupees.\nExemptions:\nAgreement or\n\t\t\t\t\tMomorandum of Agreement-\n(a) for or\n\t\t\t\t\trelating to the sale of goods or merchandise exclusively, not\n\t\t\t\t\tbeing a Note of Memorandum chargeable under entry No. 43; and\n(b) made in\n\t\t\t\t\tthe form of tenders to the Central Government for or relating to\n\t\t\t\t\tany loan\" ;\n(iv)\nfor entry\n\t\t\t\t\t10, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:\n\"10.\nArticles of\n\t\t\t\t\tAssociation of a Company-\n(a) when the\n\t\t\t\t\tauthorized capital of the company does not exceed one lac; and\nFive hundred\n\t\t\t\t\trupees\n(b) In other\n\t\t\t\t\tcases\nOne thousand\n\t\t\t\t\trupees\nExemptions :\nArticles of\n\t\t\t\t\tany Association not framed for profit and registered under\n\t\t\t\t\tSection 25 of the Companies Act, 1956.\nSee also\n\t\t\t\t\tMemorandum of Association of a Company (entry No. 39).\";\n(v)\nfor entry\n\t\t\t\t\t48, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-\n\"48.\n\t\t\t\t\tPower of Attorney as defined by section 2 (21), not being a\n\t\t\t\t\tproxy (entry No. 52) -\n(a)\nwhen\n\t\t\t\t\textended for the sale purpose of procuring the registration of\n\t\t\t\t\tone or more documents in relation to a single transaction or for\n\t\t\t\t\tadmitting execution of one or more such documents;\nOne hundred\n\t\t\t\t\trupees.\n(b)\nwhen\n\t\t\t\t\trequired in suits or proceedings under Presidency Small Cause\n\t\t\t\t\tCourts Act, 1882;\nOne hundred\n\t\t\t\t\trupees.\n(c)\nwhen\n\t\t\t\t\tauthorising one person or more to act in a single transaction\n\t\t\t\t\tother than the case mentioned in clause (a);\nThree\n\t\t\t\t\thundred rupees.\n(d)\nwhen\n\t\t\t\t\tauthorizing not more than five persons to act jointly and\n\t\t\t\t\tseverally in more than one transaction or generally;\nThree\n\t\t\t\t\thundred rupees.\n(e)\nwhen\n\t\t\t\t\tauthorizing more than five but not more than ten persons to\n\t\t\t\t\tjointly and severally in more than one transaction or generally;\nSix hundred\n\t\t\t\t\trupees.\n(f)\nwhen given\n\t\t\t\t\tfor consideration and authorizing the attorney to sell any\n\t\t\t\t\timmovable property; and\nThe same\n\t\t\t\t\tduty as ther conveyances (entry No. 23) as levied by this Act\n\t\t\t\t\tfor the amount of consideration.\n(g)\nin any other\n\t\t\t\t\tcase\nSeventy five\n\t\t\t\t\trupees.\nN.B.- The\n\t\t\t\t\tterm \"registration\", includes every operation,\n\t\t\t\t\tincidental to registration under the Registration Act, 1908.\nExplanation :",
