The State Government shall, for the purpose of settlement of debts in accordance with the provisions of this Act, by notification in the Gujarat Government Gazette, appoint such number of persons as it thinks fit as debt settlement officers and define the local limits of the area in which they shall exercise their jurisdiction.",
