(a) "Administrator" means the Administrator of the Union Territory of Daman and Diu appointed by the President under article 239 of the Constitution;
(b) "Chairman" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Goa, Daman and Diu Village Panchayats Regulation, 1962;
(c) "Panchayat" means a panchayat established under section 3 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Village Panchayats Regulation, 1962;
(d) "Pradesh Council" means the Pradesh Council constituted under section 3;
(e) "Union territory" means the Union territory of Daman and Diu.
