            "content": "The Bihar Corneal Grafting Rules, 1962\nbh077\n1.\n(1) These rules may be called the\n[Bihar Corneal Grafting Rules, 1962]\n.\n(2) They shall come into force on the 15th April, 1963.\n(3) In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context:-\n(i) \"Act\" means the Bihar Corneal Grafting Act, 1960 (Bihar Act XVII of 1960);\n(ii) \"Section\" means a section of the Act;\n(iii) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined therein shall have the same meanings as have been respectively assigned to them in the Act.\n2.\nRegistered medical practitioner attached to the Department of Eye of Medical College or a Medical College Hospital shall be treated as recognised medical practitioner for effecting removal of eyes under Section 3 under the supervision of a Professor or Lecturer in the Department.\n3.\nFor the purpose of removal of the eyes, the body of a deceased person shall be treated as an unclaimed body if it has not been claimed by a near relative or near relatives of the deceased person within six hours of death.\n4.\nThe Patna Medical College Hospital at Patna and the Darbhanga Medical College Hospital at Laheriasarai, Darbhanga, shall be treated as approved institutions under Section 6.\n5.\nIn respect of an unclaimed body at the Patna Medical College Hospital, and the Darbhanga Medical College Hospital, Laheriasarai, authority for removal of the eyes shall be given in writing by the person having the control or management of these institutions. The authority shall be given to the registered medical practitioner who would effect removal of the eyes through the head of the unit of the hospital to which he belongs:\nProvided that if the medical practitioner effecting such removal is himself the head of the unit, such authority shall be given to him direct.",
