Whereas it is expedient to provide for the establishment of an Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board for the development, maintenance and regulation of the Water Supply, Sewerage facilities in the Urban areas of the State of Assam and for matters connected therewith ;
Be it enacted by the Assam State Legislature in the Thirty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows :—
