            "content": "(a) \"Act\" means the Assam Board of Revenue Act, 1962 (Assam Act, XXI of 1962);\n(b) \"Advocate\" means a Barrister-at-law or solicitor or any other person entitled to pleaded in any Court of law in the State of Assam;\n(c) \"Agent\" includes a person authorised in writing by a party, to appear or Act on his behalf before the Assam Board of Revenue;\n(d) \"Application\" includes application for revision and reference;\n(e) \"Bench\" means a Bench of the Board constituted under Section 3(5) of the Act;\n(f) \"Single Bench\" means a Court held by one Member of the Board;\n(g) \"Division Bench\" means a Court held by two Members of the Board;\n(h) \"Full Bench\" means a Court held by three Members of the Board;\n(i) \"Board\" means the Assam Board of Revenue constituted under Section 3 of the Act;\n(j) \"Case\" includes any proceeding before the Board whether in appeal, revision reference or review;\n(k) \"Chairman\" means the Chairman of the Board appointed by Government under Section 3 (4) of the Act;\n(l) \"Member\" means a Member of the Board appointed by Government with recommendation of the Chairman of the Board appointed by Government under Section 3 (2) of the Act and includes the Chairman;\n(m) \"Secretary\" means the Secretary of the Board and includes any other person, who is, for the time being, discharging the functions of the Secretary;\n(n) \"Tax Officer\" means the Superintendent of Taxes or the Agricultural Income Tax Officer.\nChapter II\nOffice of the Board of Revenue and Sitting of Members",
