Any person may be nominated as a candidate for
election to fill a seat 5*** if he is qualified to be chosen to fill that seat under the provisions of the
Constitution and this Act 6*** 7[or under the provisions of the Government of Union Territories
Act, 1963 (20 of 1963), as the case may be].
