            "title": "Section 1. Short title,extent and commencement.—",

            "content": "(1)  This Act  may be called the Factories (Bihar A mendment) Act, 2020. \n(2)   It shall extent to the whole of the State of Bihar.   \n(3) It shall come into force at once.",

            "title": "Section 2. Amendment of the factories act, 1948  .—",

            "content": "(1)  In the Factories Act, 1948, in section 2, in clause(m) will be substituted as follows \n(i)  in sub-clause (i), for the word \"ten\", the wor d \"twenty\" shall be substituted;and \n(ii)  in sub-clause (ii), for the word \"twenty\", th e word \"forty\" shall be substituted. \n(2)  In the Factories act, 1948, in section 5, the following section shall be iserted namely:-  \n\"5-A (Power to exempt new factories in public inter est)- Where the                   \nState Government is satisifed in the public interes t that it is neccessary to create \nmore economic activites and employment opportunitie s, it may, by notification                   \nin the official Gazette, exempt, subject to such co nditions as it may think fit, any \nnew factory or class or description  of news factor ies which are established                      \nand whose commercial production start, from all or any of the provisions of this Act \nfor a period of one thousand days from the date on which such commercial \nproduction start.\" \n Explanation.— For the purpose of this section the expression\"New  Factory or class or \ndescripition of new factories\" means such factory o r class or description of facotries which are \nestablished and whose commercial production start w ithin a period of one thousand days after the \ncommencement of the Factories (Bihar Amendment) Act, 2020.  \n(3)   In the Factories Act, 1948, in the Clause (i) of sub section 1 of Section-85 of the \nAct, for the word \"ten\", the word \"twenty\"and  for the word \"twenty\", the word \n\"forty\" shall be substituted.",

            "title": "Section 3. Validation.",

            "content": "Notwithstanding amendment in Clause (m) of section 2, section 5 and in the\r\nClause (i) of sub section-1 of Section-85 of the Act, anything done and decision and action taken prior to it shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken and shall not be questioned on the\r\nground of amendment of Clause (m) of section 2, section 5 and in the Clause (i) of sub section-1 of\r\nSection-85 of the Act",

            "title": "Section 4. Repeal and Savings.—",

            "content": "(i)  The Factories (Bihar Amendment) Ordinance, 202 0. (Bihar Ordinance No-08- \r\n2020)  is hereby repealed.  \r\n(ii) Notwithstanding such repeal, any thing done or  any action taken in exercise of any \r\npower conferred by or under the said ordinance shal l be deemed to have been \r\ndone or taken in exercise of the powers conferred b y or under this Act as if this \r\nAct were in force on the days on which such thing was done or action taken.  \r\n ",
