Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (hereinafter referred to as the Code) in its application to the State of Assam, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
