            "content": "Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam\nIrrigation Act, 1983, (Assam Act. VIII of 1989),\nhereinafter called the principal Act, in the man-\nner hereinafter appearing;\n\nIt is hereby enacted in the Forty-first Year\nof the Republic of India as follows:-",
