            "content": "AN ACT\nto establish a Private University under the name and style \"The Assam Down Town University\" under section 6 of the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007.\nWhereas it is expedient to establish a Private University under the name and style \"The Assam Down Town University\" under section 6 of the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007 and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto\nIt is hereby enacted in the Sixty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows :-",

            "content": "Details regarding name, location, jurisdiction and infrastructure belonging to the Assam Down Town University as envisaged under section 6 of the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007 :-\r\n1. Name of the University : The Assam Down Town University (Sponsored by the Down Town Charity Trust, Dispur, Guwahati – 6)\r\n2. Location of the University : Located at Panikhaiti in the District of Kamrup (Metro) with its headquarter at Dispur, Guwahati – 6.\r\n3. Jurisdiction : Extending over the State of Assam.\r\n4. Infrastructure :\r\n(i) Land : 90B-0K-3L covered by K.P. Patta No.8 at village No.2 Panikhaiti, Beltola Mouza\r\n(ii) Built-up-area : 10,000 sq.Mtrs.\r\n(iii) Endowment Fund : Rupees two Crore.\r\n(iv) Library : Area 8600 sq. Ft. 100 seater, reading room, seminar-cum-library room -10\r\n(v) Laboratories :\r\n(1) Computer laboratory with internet facility.\r\n(2) Histology Lab : 90 seater equipped with microscopes and slides.\r\n(3) Amphibian Lab. : 90 seater with students chymograph, poles Computer.\r\n(4) Human Physiology Lab. : 30 seater with necessary apparatus\r\n(5) Bio-chemistry Lab : 30 seater with microscope, homogenizer, PH meter etc.\r\n(6) Hematology Lab. : 90 seater with microscopes, Heamoglobino meter etc., 10 additional Research laboratories.\r\n(vi) Equipments : Rs.35,28,287/- spent to purchase equipments.\r\n(vii) Teaching Area : Lecture Halls = 3 (550 seater), Classrooms = 12 (60 seater), Dissection Hall=1 (90 seater).\r\n(viii) Books and Journals : Worth Rs.10.00 lakh.\r\n(ix) Museums : (1) Anatomy museum (2) Community medicine museum, Charts Models (3) Radiology Museum.\r\n(x) Hostels : (a) 54 rooms hostel for girl/ Resident doctors, (b) 20 room boys hostel, (c) 3 dormitories for students.\r\n(xi) Staff accommodation : Staff qtr = 10 Nos., Doctor/ Faculty = 4 Nos.
