        "content": "(a) \"Act\" means the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Act 14 of 1994);\n(b) \"Co-option\" means the election of a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste by members of the Panchayat, as and when directed by the Government by an Order published in the Official Gazette;\n(c) \"Member\" means a member of a Panchayat;\n(d) \"Presiding Officer\" means the Officer appointed by the Director to preside over the meeting for co-opting a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste;\n(e) \"Section\" means section of the Act;\n(f) Words and expressions used but not defined in these rules, shall have the same meaning as respectively assigned to them in the Act.\nChapter - II",
