            "title": "2. Definition.",

            "content": "(a) \"Act\" means the [Assam Urban Areas Rent Control Act, 1966 (Assam Act II of 1967)] ;\n(b) All words and expressions used in these rules and not defined herein but defined in the Act shall respectively have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.\n3.\n4.\n(i) an application under sub-section (2) of Section 4 a Court-fee of Rs. 7.50 (rupees seven and fifty paise) or as prescribed from time to time under the Court-fee Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870) as amended shall be paid;\n(ii) a suit or proceeding as referred to in sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Act, ad valorem court-fee shall be paid in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the Court Fee Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870), as amended;\n(iii) an appeal/petition under Section 8 of the Act, a Court-fee of Rs. 15 (rupees fifteen) shall be paid.",
