All criminal cases or other proceedings instituted and pending on any Court in Haflong town on the date of coming into force of this Act shall stand transferred to the Court of the Deputy Commissioner or his Assistant, as the case may be, and the Court before which such criminal case or proceedings are pending shall transfer all relevant and connected papers and records to the Deputy Commissioner, North Cachar Hills District or his Assistant, as the case may be, and thereupon the Deputy Commissioner, North Cachar Hills District or his Assistant, as the case may be, shall dispose of the criminal cases or proceedings under the Administration of Justice Rules in the North Cachar Hills District.\"",
