        "content": "(a) framing programmes of production for the villages;\n(b) framing budget of requirements for supplies and finance needed for carrying out the programmes;\n(c) reclamation of waste land and bringing waste land under cultivation;\n(d) [***]\n(e) [***]\n(f) [***]\n(g) upkeep, protection and supervision of any buildings or other property which may belong to the Gaon Sabha or which may be transferred to it for management;\n(h) registering births, deaths and marriages;\n(i) removal of encroachments on public streets, public places and property vested in the Gaon Sabha;\n(j) regulating places for the disposal of the dead bodies of human beings and animals and of other offensive matter;\n(k) regulations of melas, markets and huts within its area, except those managed by the Government.\n(l) [***]\n(m) establishment, management and care of common grazing grounds, and land for the common benefit of the persons residing within its jurisdiction;\n(n) [***]\n(o) [***]\n(p) assisting the development of agriculture, commerce and industry;\n(q) rendering assistance in extinguishing fire and protecting life and property when fire occurs;\n(r) the administration of [justice] to the extent permitted in this Act and the election of the panches on the panel of the Circle Panchayat according to the provisions of this Act and rules made thereunder;\n(s) the maintenance of such records relating to cattle census, population census and other statistics may be prescribed;\n(t) [***]\n(u) allotment of places for storing manure;\n(v) fulfilling any other obligation imposed by any other law on a Gaon Sabha.",
