        "content": "(1) A Zila Parishad \nshall have the power to acquire, hold and dispose o f property and to enter \ninto contracts:  \nProvided that in all cases of disposal of immovable  property, the \nZila Parishad shall obtain the previous approval of the Government. \n(2)  All roads, buildings or other works constructe d by a Zila Parishad with \nits own funds shall vest in it. \n(3) The Government may allocate to a Zila Parishad any public property \nsituated within its jurisdiction and thereupon, suc h property shall vest \nin and come under the control of the Zila Parishad.\n(4) Where a Zila Parishad requires land to carry ou t any of the purposes \nof this Act, it may negotiate with the person or persons having interest \nin the said land, and if it fails to reach an agree ment, it may make an \napplication to the District Magistrate for the acquisition of the land and \nthe District Magistrate may, if he is satisfied tha t the land is required \nfor a public purpose, take steps to acquire the lan d under the \nprovisions of the Land Acquisition Act. 1894 (1 of 1894) and such \nland shall, on acquisition, vest in the Zila Parishad.",
