        "content": "when the limits of Panchayat areas are altered - (1) When on account \nof the reason that the limits of a Panchayat area a re altered, the \nGovernment may by order published in the Official G azette dissolve such \nPanchayat, from a date specified in the order, and direct that the Gram \nPanchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad concerned - \n(i) be reconstituted for the Panchayat area of whic h the Gram \nPanchayat or Block of which Panchayat Samiti or the  District of \nwhich Zila Parishad has been dissolved ; or  \n(ii) be established for a Panchayat area, Block or District which has \nbeen newly constituted. \n(2) The Members of that Gram Panchayat, Panchayat S amiti or Zila \nParishad, which has been dissolved under sub-section(1) shall vacate \ntheir offices from the date specified in the order of the Government. \n(3) The Gram Panchayat, Panchayat samiti or Zila Pa rishad reconstituted \nor established under the provisions of sub-section( 1) shall consist of \nmembers nominated by the Government and such member s shall, as \nfar as practicable, be persons who were members of the Gram \nPanchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad which has been \ndissolved under sub-section (1). \n(4) The Pramukh of Panchayat Samiti or Adhayaksha o f Zila Parishad \nshall be elected in the manner provided in this Act . The Mukhiya of \nsuch Gram Panchayat shall be elected from amongst the members of \nGram Panchayat nominated by the Government under pr ovision of \nsub-section (3) \n(5) The term of the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samit i or Zila Parishad \nso reconstituted or established shall be for such p eriod not exceeding \nsix months as the Government may by order specify. \n(6) Before the expiry of the term of the Gram Panch ayat, Panchayat \nSamiti or Zila Parishad constituted under sub-secti on (5), every Gram \nPanchayat or Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad shal l be constituted \nin the manner as provided by this Act : \nProvided that where the remainder of the period for  which the \ndissolved Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad would \nhave continued is less than six months it shall not  be necessary to \nhold an election under this section for constituting a Gram Panchayat, \nPanchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad for such period. \n(7) A Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Pari shad constituted \nunder sub-section (6) shall continue only for the r emainder of the \nperiod for which the dissolved Gram Panchayat, Panc hayat Samiti or \nZila Parishad would have continued had it not been so dissolved. \n(8) When a Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila  Parishad has \nbeen dissolved and reconstituted or established und er this section, \nsuch of the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti  or Zila Parishad fund \nand other property vested in the Gram Panchayat, Pa nchayat Samiti \nor Zila Parishad which has been dissolved shall ves t in and such \nportion of the debts and obligations shall be trans ferred to the Gram \nPanchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad recons tituted or \nestablished under this section as the Government ma y, by order in \nwriting, direct. \n(9) The rights and liabilities of the Gram Panchaya t, Panchayat Samiti or \nZila Parishad which has been dissolved in respect of civil and criminal \nproceedings, contracts, agreements and other matter s or things \narising in and relating to any part of the area sub ject to the authority \nof the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Par ishad \nreconstituted or established shall vest in such Gra m Panchayat, \nPanchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad. \n(10) Any appointment, notification, notice, tax, or der, scheme, license, \npermission, rule, regulation or form made, issued, imposed or granted \nby the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad which has \nbeen dissolved in respect of any part of area subje ct to the authority \nof the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Par ishad will \ncontinue unless and until it is suspended by any ap pointment, \nnotification, notice, form, order, scheme, license,  permission, rule, \nregulation or form, made, issued, imposed or grante d by such \nreconstituted Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad. \n(11) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to t he provisions of the \npreceding sub-sections, the Government may by order  published in \nthe Official Gazette, as the occasion may require, do anything which \nappears to be necessary to remove the difficulty.",
