            "content": "AN\nACT\nTO AMEND THE BIHAR CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY ACT, 1935\nPreamble:- Where it is priority of the Government to conduct the election of Notified\nSociety published in the Official Gazette by an authority, created for the purpose of conduct of\nelection to the managing committee of registered societies under this Act and to make them more\ndemocratically well governed with more transparency of the conduct of election process.\nAND WHEREAS, it is mandatory to get the election of notified societies conducted by an\nauthority within six months from such notification which may further be extended for a period of\nsix months could not be completed on account of various factors such as prolongment of\nreorganisation process and strike of non-gazetted employees leading to delay in preparation of\nVoter List. Besides this, due to the proposed Lok Sabha Election, whose process is likely to be\ncompleted in May, 2009 and as such the election is not possible to be completed in the stipulated\ntime.\nAND WHEREAS, it was necessary to have more time to get the election of notified\nsocieties conducted by an authority.\nAND WHEREAS, it is necessary to bring out certain amendment to the Bihar\nCo-operative Societies Act, 1935.\nBe it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar in the sixtieth year of Republic of\nIndia as follows:-",

            "content": "\"Not withstanding anything contained in the sub-section (9) of the Section-14 of this Act,\r\nrules made thereunder and the bye-laws of the registered society, the election of the managing\r\ncommittee of the class or classes of the registered societies notified under sub-section (1) shall be\r\nheld within six months from the date of such notification and which may further be extended with\r\ndue reason for a term of six months at a time but not exceeding two years from the date of first\r\npublication of such notification in the official gazette.",
