            "content": "Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Land Revenue Re-assessment Act, 1936 (Assam Act VIII of 1936), hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;\nIt is hereby enacted in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows :—",
