            "content": "AN\nACT\nfurther to amend the Assam Fixation of Ceiling on Land\nHoldings Act, 1956.\nWhereas it is necessary to amend the Assam\nFixation of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1956\nhereinafter called the principal Act, in the\nmanner hereinafter appearing:\nIt is hereby enacted in the Forty-fourth Year\nof the Republic of India as follows:-",

            "content": "(a) For sub-section (6), the following shall be\nsubstituted, namely:-\n\"(6) Without prejudice to any action under\nany other provision of this Act, the State Govern-\nment may, on its own motion or on application,\nif filed within a period of 1 (one) year from the\ndate of publication of the final statement under\nsub-section (4) or from the date on which the\nAssam Fixation of Ceiling on Land Holdings\n(Amendment) Act, 1993 shall come into force.\nwhichever is later, call for any record relating to\nany final statement and may pass such order or\norders as it deems fit after giving the person or\npersons concerned an opportunity of being heard.\"",
