            "content": "AN ACT to amend the Assam Autonomous Districts Administration of Justice Act, 1960.\r\n\r\nWhereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Autonomous Districts Administration of Justice Act, 1960, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;\r\n\r\nIt is hereby enacted in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—",

            "content": "(1) This Act may be called the Assam Autonomous Districts Administration of Justice (Amendment) Act, 1968.\n(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.\n(3) It shall come into force at once.",

            "title": "Section 2. Amendment of section 2 of Assam Act XIV of 1960",

            "content": "In section 2 of the principal Act—\r\n(1) in sub-section (1), for the words \"an Additional Deputy Commissioner\" occurring between the words \"appoint\" and \"for\" the words \"one or more Additional Deputy Commissioners\" shall be substituted.\r\n(2) after sub-section (2), the following shall be inserted as sub-section (3), namely :—\r\n\"(3) An Additional Deputy Commissioner appointed for the United Khasi-Jaintia Hills District if and when so directed by the State Government shall also exercise the powers mentioned in sub-section (1) in the Jowai District constituted under Government Notification No.TAD/R/50/64, dated the 23rd November, 1964.\"",
